Fifteen years on one product, with one engineer.

The job

A job board for pilots and crew, in an industry where the hiring side is small, particular, and knows each other. The product had to be credible to people who would notice if a tail number format was wrong.

I built the first version, then kept building it. Job posting and applicant flow, employer accounts, billing, search, the alerting that tells a pilot a job appeared, and every piece of infrastructure underneath.

What fifteen years actually looks like

Mostly it looks like nothing happening. Payments kept clearing. Emails kept sending. Frameworks went end of life and got replaced before they became a problem. The parts that stopped earning their keep got removed.

That is the work nobody puts in a portfolio, and it is the reason a fifteen year old product was still shipping features in its fifteenth year instead of being rebuilt twice.

The engagement ended in 2026. The product it ended as was the same product it started as, which is the point.
