About / History

Since 2005.

No stock photos, no team page. Continuum is one senior engineer. This is his and Continuum's real timeline, not a highlight reel.

The short answer

How long has Matt Turley been building software?

Since 2005, more than twenty years, mostly solo and mostly for founders. The longest single client engagement ran fifteen years (BizJetJobs, through 2024). One current partnership, Porch Enclosure Systems, has run without a gap since 2017.

2005

First paid software shipped

Matt Turley ships his first paid piece of software. Everything on this page since is a continuation of the same practice: one engineer, building for founders and small businesses, mostly solo.

2010

Async-first, and a client relationship that is still the longest-running

Moves to an async-first working style, still in effect today. The same year, a fractional-CTO client relationship begins that, as of this page, is Continuum's longest continuously active partnership.

2011

Builds BizJetJobs

Builds BizJetJobs, a private-aviation hiring marketplace, and becomes the sole engineer behind every release.

2017

Starts an unbroken partnership with Porch Enclosure Systems

Begins the Porch Enclosure Systems partnership, building the browser-based product configurator that lets a regional manufacturer sell nationwide. Still active, with no gap in the relationship since.

2020

A multi-year field-service partnership begins

Starts working with a field-service SMB owner, a relationship still running.

2022

A multi-year travel-booking partnership begins

Starts working with a travel-booking SaaS owner, a relationship still running.

2024

The BizJetJobs engagement wraps, after fifteen years

The BizJetJobs engagement ends after fifteen years, as the client's hiring grows in-house. Co-founder Meredith Koubsky's testimonial calls it “an invaluable asset…for an astounding 15 years.” Fifteen years, one product, one engineer, is still the strongest proof point Continuum has.

2025

Takes over TourPass, and builds the AI-native pipeline

Takes over TourPass, an existing booking platform left in disarray by a previous developer, and has shipped it continuously since. The same year, builds the supervised AI dev pipeline described on the About page: AI drafts and ships code continuously, and every output is reviewed by a senior engineer before it lands. It runs Matt's own work first.

2026

Turns the AI-visibility engine on Continuum itself, then ships it as a product

Runs the same AI-answer-visibility engine used for clients on Continuum first: ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini named Continuum on 0 of 15 buyer questions in the baseline check (published on the AI Answer Check page, measured 24 September 2026). That result becomes the case for the $299 AI Answer Check now sold to other businesses.
